Would you believe us if we told you its right here in the UK? Probably not.
In fact, its all over the UK, all you need is a skatepark or a smooth bit of downhill tarmac
(yeah one without potholes IS a challenge to find. )
Streetboarding is as close as you can get to recreating snowboarding on dry land.
(if you do want our recommendations on late season destinations. They are down below)
The 35 year old sport is based on boards that are made to slay. They are trick focused plus you strap in using full, slightly paired down, bindings.
Unlike other boards focused on summer riding, Streetboards are lightweight with no heavy (and fragile) batteries and motors.
You power the board with a toe heel carving motion. Able to hit some pretty insane speeds on the flats, and meaning once your strapped in, you remain so for your session: getting in more tricks, more riding.
They come complete with slick and the pro models have metal trucks: So you can work out your body position in summer on that front board pretzel then stomp it in winter.

Hitting 720's on tiny hits is common place, so its the perfect way to get your balance in the air and keep your muscle memory fresh year round.
What makes Streetboarding different than many other summer alternatives is the fact that its a whole independent scene: A contest series with a World Championships which can trace back to 1994. A whole set of different Streetboard brands from performance focused Midnight Streetboards, The ethical european plywood based DeLaVia and binding brands like FWD Streetco. And a global welcoming community of riders.
Plus a magazine: you're looking at them: Red Pen Streetboard Magazine.
