Disturbed | Snakeboard USA | 1996

Disturbed was a Snakeboard released in 1996, following on from Totally committed. It took street riding further with some seriously big rails being hit for the first time on a streetboard, all against the backdrop of a classic hardcore punk soundtrack. The gaps still remain to this day some of the biggest and most styled out.

Produced and directed by inline skate legend AJ Jackson. Snakeboard superstar Kelly Dean was in the assistant’s chair. Coming in under 15 minutes, it was the perfect length for a quick pre skate hype

Newly crowned world champion Ingo Fohre made the trip out to Cali to lay down what still boggles the mind. A backside boardslide on a handrail on the old-school skinny Snakeboard bars. Jay Beatty’s section, set to a Bad Brains track, is a masterclass in styling out grabs.

Plus Victor Murstig of Dimension boards made his name in manuals in this very part. Sit back. Pull up those white socks and crack a cold one to a Streetboard Classic.

Disturbed. With thanks to Sebastian Hoffman.
